Legacy Youth Care aims to be diligent, person-centred, empathetic, passionate, sympathetic and caring.

We will strive to ensure everything we do is underpinned by the 7 corporate parenting principles:

 

1. To act in the best interests, and promote the physical and mental health and well-being, of children and young people

3. To take into account the views, wishes and feelings of children and young people

 

4. To help children and young people gain access to, and make the best use of, services provided by the local authority and its relevant partners

 

5. To promote high aspirations, and seek to secure the best outcomes

 

6. To teach children and young people how to be safe, and have stability in their home lives, relationships and education or work

 

7. To prepare children and young people for adulthood and independent living.

 

We want to nurture and nourish children and young people, teach the impact and the importance of lifelong positive behaviours, instil socially-praised view and attitudes, and of course strengthen their health (physical, emotional and mental).
